Bringing it back...

I'm learning that no matter which family members are there and no matter what else is going on there are a few things that ever form of our family gathering together has... 1. Some form of argument or discussion where at least one person is taking a side they don't really believe in just to "make it interesting" 2. A practical joke, from which no one is safe, and usually aimed at the person who happens to be absent when the idea forms and 3. (and my personal favorite) laughter to the point of tears...On that note, here are some of my fave pics to add to Aunt Stef's from ice fishing

Help the tiny humans, please!

Hey hey fam! I'm SO excited to see that Mike and Stef got some action moving on the family blog again! I would like to keep the ball rolling by making a little post about a charity walk/run I'm doing on April 17th for The March of Dimes. The money raised from the 10K March for Babies will go towards research which helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. This organization does amazing work with research and community support related to preterm births (a soft spot for me), and I've been glad to be involved in their charity walks for years. I would greatly appreciate any contributions you are able to make...If there is any interest, please visit my sponsor page (which explains in greater detail) at www.marchforbabies.com/melmendorf ... Love you all and miss you dearly! XoXo

Kilimanjaro Summit

Tricia and I both made the summit of Kilimanjaro on Saturday AM after a 5:00 AM start from last base camp near the smaller glaciers. 15 degrees F with fairly strong winds but all went well. We are down and safe, will have lots of pics for those interested. Attached a few from the last day. Seven days in a tent with all but one night being below freezing. Still well worth it with all the views as you hike through 6 different climate zones from tropical forest to Arctic zone.

Love to all,
Pete
