Winter Hike

Winter Hike up Cabot (Near Jefferson/Lancaster). One of New Hampshire's 4000 Footers. We had planned on hiking across to the Bulge and the Horn but deep snow and no apparent trail over the ridge line derailed the other two. Plus it was 8 degrees on top and the wind howling. (Wimps) Dani is down in St. Thomas suffering while we get to enjoy days like this, poor girl. (This Hike was actually in February).

Hope all are doing well, looks like snowmobiling and winter hiking are coming to an end soon, then we get to look forward to "Mud Season".

Two weeks in Maine

I was in Maine for two weekends in a row and I got to spend lots of family time. The well published family gathering, and some girl time with Maria and a wrestling meet highlighted my time there. It is really awesome to be able to travel towards so much extended family, in almost any direction, on a whim. Here are a couple pictures from my two weekends...

Snowmobiles and Snowcats

Here's a picture of our Snowcat on the right. I took the snowmobile pic for you, Pete. Because Yellowstone is closed to car travel in the winter, snowmobilers are plentiful here. You would love it!

A Day at Yellowstone

We decided to take a day off skiing to tour Yellowstone in a Snowcat (basically a bus with rubber tracks to travel on snow). We had a beautiful day and saw lots of bison and elk, plus two bald eagles, a coyote and, of course, Old Faithful. I took this pic from the Snowcat - they wouldn't let us get this close on the ground.

Lisa in Montana

Lisa and friends usually head to West Virginia or Michigan for their annual x-country ski trip, but this year we decided to splurge and go to Montana. It was fabulous! Great trails, lots of snow, abundant sunshine, and mountain views everywhere.

Family get together

Katies Birthday

Just thought everyone would like to know that its Katies birthday and it might be nice if all her aunts and uncles took a little time out of their busy schedules to wish her a happy birthday.
